It’s been 40 years since Uni-Metal began experimenting with functional, well-designed steel furnishings, at prices that make easy changes even easier. We have worked with retailers for decades, and over time have evolved with them to create a new benchmark for innovative metal furniture.

We are proud to have achieved the perfect balance between fabulous design, great quality, and the most profitable way of using your selling space. To that end, we have in-house design and R&D departments that work round the clock to improve and develop our products.

At Uni-Metal, we have over 70 dedicated employees working in offices across India. Having said that, we’ve firmly established, time and again, that size indeed does not matter. History and Milestones:

The Uni-Metal story unravels in a town called Kolhapur, in India, in the year 1970, when a few innovative minds ......

Since the establishment of Uni-Metal Systems Pvt Ltd, almost 40 years ago, we have successfully treaded a path funneled by our mission, ‘To improve the quality of work and life’. Having once dreamt of creating stylish metal furniture, we are euphoric today, that we have indeed gone a long way in realizing it. This dream though, materialized after years of evolution in technology, design and services.

It was famously known as "Unity" in Kolhapur & rest of Maharashtra.

Uni-metal was also manufacturers of fuel tanks for the Indian Army, Silencers for Bajaj Scooters and Oil Engines parts for Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited.

1970

Uni-Metal specializes in the manufacturing of Metal Components for Marine & Oil Engines.

1990

The enhancement of the Research and Development department leads to the start of a new line of Supermarket furniture System.

Functionality, practicality and the warranty of certified quality soon made this system one of Uni-Metal’s most requested products. Uni-Metal has served more than 3000 supermarkets, clothing stores, auto components and accessories, and industrial storage units.

2002

Uni-Metal introduces new technologies with the acquisition of advanced equipment.

This enables Uni-Metal to attain very high quality standards, great flexibility, and substantial cost reduction. It also aids the expansion of their product line—Education Furniture System.

Uni-Metal currently service laboratories in Pune University, Goa University, Shivaji University of Kolhapur, and Kolhapur Institute of Technology.

2004

Uni-Metal launches its new line of Medical Stores Furniture Systems.

2009

Uni-Metal brands their Medical Stores Furniture Systems as MEDisplay.
